Evaluation of Project
Upon project completion, the project will be evaluated to determine if all objectives have been met and all work has been completed. This will be accomplished by using formal checklists.
All team members will meet and go through the Objective checklist together. If it is determined that an objective has not been met, there will be a discussion of what can be done to solve this problem and how the process can be improved. All minutes from this meeting will be saved as documentation for future projects. See the link below for Project Objective Checklist.

Feedback about the project will be solicited from all staff involved in the process. This will be done through a survey available on the library’s intranet after project completion. Staff will be encouraged to share their comments and advice regarding the project’s execution. Surveys will also be solicited from library users. These surveys will appear as pop-ups on library computers which will ask the user if he or she would like to complete a brief survey regarding the library’s recent renovation. The surveys will also be available at the reference desk for users to fill out. Nancy Pearl will be responsible for the continuing review of user and staff surveys collected and developing responses as necessary.
Disassembling the Team
Have all tasks been completed? The following checklist will be used to determine if all work associated with each task has been completed. Each team member will complete the checklist for each task in the Work Breakdown Schedule he or she was responsible for. These checklists will then be submitted to Nancy Pearl for review prior to the final Disassembling meeting (see below).

A final Disassembling meeting will be held to review the project and discuss “lessons learned.” The meeting will take place two weeks after the completion of the project. At this meeting, each task will be reviewed and team members will report on “lessons learned,” including reviews of vendors, contractors, and staff. Nancy Pearl will report on overall project success and advice for future projects. This will be a time to recognize the achievements of each team member and to reassign team members to other projects if necessary. The minutes from the meeting will be recorded and serve as documentation for future projects.
All team members and other staff involved with the project will be formally recognized by Nancy Pearl and the Library director at the first all-staff meeting following the close of the project.
Project Review with Stakeholders
Nancy Pearl will use the feedback received from team members to prepare a final report to be shared with stakeholders, including library administration and all library staff. The report will also be posted on the library web site for faculty and other stakeholders to examine. The report will be archived in the project files. Along with the report will be a link to the user survey if stakeholders would like to provide comments.
The library will hold an Open House to present the remodel to the University community. Flyers will be posted around campus and an email alert will be sent out on the campus listserv. The Open House is being sponsored by an alumni, who will be paying for the flyers, refreshments and decorations.
